IT STARTED WITH A BMX BIKE
Every great company has an origin story. Ours began in Southern Maryland with a determined 13-year-old, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a dream of owning a BMX bike.
In the mid-1980s, Wayne S. Goddard launched a neighborhood lawn service in La Plata, Maryland, with a simple goal: earn enough money to purchase a high-quality freestyle BMX bike, — a 1985 Skyway Street Beat. With support from his parents, including his recently retired father, that initial hustle quickly expanded into a full-service residential and commercial lawn maintenance business throughout Wayne’s teen years.
